H.Stern

Background

The Brazilian jewellery company H.Stern is regarded as one of the world's leading jewellers for more than sixty years. The company runs 160 stores in twelve countries. Besides the daily diamante business, H. Stern is also involved in the World Childhood Foundation supporting children's aid projects in Brazil.

In conjunction with H.Stern, Lauth Communicates developed an idea in order to create awareness for this topic within privileged families in Hamburg. Some of the most influential people were invited to take part in a playful jewellery workshop. Approximately 50 children and 120 parents arrived at a friend’s house.

The young guests were able to feel like genuine jewellery designers for an afternoon while they created individual treasures with Fimo under professional instruction. Three of the modelled pieces were rebuilt in gold by H.Stern - the master pieces were sold at the H.Stern store in Hamburg.

All the proceeds were donated to the World Childhood Foundation (www.childhood.org). As a special highlight, Ruth Stern, the company's founder’s widow, attended the event in person to ultimately choose the winning designs.
